THE PARISH PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING AND DEDICATION

Let us call to mind, as we offer thanks to God for our Parish of Port Hill, all who have lived, worked, sacrificed and witnessed for the sake of The Gospel both in this age and in ages past.

For all who held faithfully to Almighty God’s vision to build churches as lasting witnesses to the glory of God in this place;

For all who have faithfully served in Christ’s name in every age and who have shared worship here, together;

For all those baptized, confirmed, married and buried in the name of Christ in this Parish;

O God, remain open to us the sea of your mercy and water us with the riches of your grace, and springs of your abundant kindness.

We dedicate ourselves to be your children of quiet, loving hearts and heirs of peace; we seek your Holy Spirit to replenish us with your power to strengthen our weakness and we commit ourselves to serve each other in unity and love, ready to welcome everyone.

In Christ Jesus we pray, AMEN
